Mother and Child Health
he Rotary Club of Port Harcourt Blue Ocean successfully concluded a significant project in central Port Harcourt. Aligned with Rotary’s focus on Mother and Child Health in July, the club made a profound impact by donating phototherapy machines to Obio Cottage Hospital and Kelsey Harrison Hospital. These machines treat jaundice, a condition contributing to infant mortality rates in Rivers state. Additionally, the club distributed essential food items (rice and Garri) at Obio Cottage Hospital and sponsored medical examinations for expectant mothers at Kelsey Harrison Hospital, preceded by health education sessions.
